Microsoft Launches Its Second Dual Screen Smartphone

Microsoft recently launched its latest dual-screen Android smartphone called Surface Duo 2. Last year the company launched the Microsoft Surface Duo and this comes as its successor. The Surface Duo 2 comes with a bigger and high-resolution display. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The Android device comes with the Android 11 operating system and it also brings along with it Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams. Both of these can be used at the same time on the device.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and NFC for contactless payments. Also, it comes with the Surface Pen that can work with the device magnetically. Coming to the color variant, there are two colors- Glacier and Obsidian. The device has a starting price of $1499.99 which is approximately Rs. 1,10,675. The device is already available for pre-order. Shipping of the same will start from October 21.

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a 5.8-inch AMOLED display and has a pixel resolution of 1244×1892. On opening the display, the screen size increases to 8.3-inches. There is a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate and the display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top.

The device comes with 8GB RAM and in three different storage variants-128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The phone supports a dual rear camera setup having a 12MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, dual-LED flash, and a 12MP telephoto camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture. It comes with a 4449 mAh battery and 23W charging support.
