Generally, the monthly software update for Pixel phones comes on the first Monday of the month. However, it got a little delayed this time due to the 4th of July weekend in the US. Anyway, it’s here now.
This time the Pixel user is getting the RQ3A.210705.001 build and it includes the July security patch level. Because of this many vulnerabilities have been fixed both high and critical.
However unbelievable it may sound but yes certain networks have now got VoLTE support. Also, a fix to stop continued device reboots under certain circumstances is rolled out. This is definitely a good fix.
However since Google’s software updates are always very slow, so if you haven’t received it yet, don’t worry you will receive it in a few days. After a few days, might even be weeks all Pixel phones will receive the update. But if you can’t wait for the notification, you can always go to Settings on your phone and manually check for updates. However, Google has reversed its stance on its ‘Check for Updates’ button so we aren’t sure if it will help. All you can do now is to wait for the update to come automatically to your Pixel phone.
