A13 Chip And Neural Engine Testing By Apple For Its Pro Display XDR

Apple is testing a new external display for Pro Display XDR with an A13 chip and Neural Engine for a high-quality resolution. According to 9to5Mac’s sources, while the Pro display will have a specialized internal chip, and a dedicated SoC, currently it is the A13 Bionic chip, the same one used for iPhone 11 series. The external display features the neural engine and is deemed to be the future of Pro Display XDR.

The Pro Display XDR will have an external display with a built-in GPU which enhances the resolution and gives a better quality product without using all of the internal chip’s resources. As described by Apple, the “Pro Display XDR takes brightness, contrast, and color to the new level. Far beyond HDR, it’s Extreme Dynamic Range (XDR)”. About its display “An astonishing 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio and superwide viewing angle. Over a billion colors presented with exceptional accuracy”.

The device does not include any internals but has accessories that one can buy for $200 or $300 extra. What is that even when the product itself costs $4,999 and if you include the stand a $5,999 (yes, I know) without the GPU functionality that is. The company is said to be working on a cheaper consumer version and I am here for it.

Though nothing has been confirmed yet, and it may not even produce what has been promised seeing that Pro Display XDR did not have all the features, we thought it would.
