Apple is a company that has always been in the news for its technological advancements and devices. Now, it is in news for its upcoming iPad. Apple is going to launch the 2022 iPad model with OLED displays replacing the previous LCD screens.
The introduction of an OLED display is a first for the company. This will appear along with the micro-LED display that was launched in the 2022 iPad Pro.
According to a report by ETNews, Apple will be launching OLED screens for some of its iPad models from 2022. However, there isn’t any news on which of the model will be featuring an OLED display. Although it looks like that the model to have the OLED display will be the mid-range iPad Air. Also, it is said that Apple as well as the display providers have “agreed on production and delivery.”
It is to be mentioned here that Apple has already introduced OLED screens in its iPhones and smartwatches. In this case, the supplier is Samsung and LG. it is expected that they will be the ones to provide the OLED screens for the future iPads as well.
Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple analyst had already said in March that the high-end iPad will opt for a mini-LED screen while the other iPad models will be having an OLED display. Mini-LED displays can also be introduced in the future MacBook Pro.
Using this new introduction, a better display would be provided to the users. The blacks will be deeper and contrast will be higher.
There aren’t any other leads on this. It can however be speculated that since the display will be changed, a new design might be introduced along with new color variants.
