A New iPod Touch Might Be Launched By Apple This Year

Earlier Apple had its iPod, which was one of its most successful and famous devices. The last device of this range as of now, the iPod Touch was released back in 2019. Now, it has come up that Apple will be launching a new iPod Touch device which will have a design similar to the iPhone. According to a report from MacRumors, a contributor has said that the company will be releasing a new iPod Touch this year and it will have a design similar to an iPhone 12 like the squared edges and various color options. The report also says that the iPod Touch will be having a single back camera.

However, nothing about the iPod Touch’s display is known yet. Even its specifications aren’t known as of now. The contributor of MacRumors, Steve Moser has said that there will be a Face ID and edge-to-edge display. He also stated that the company had already included iPod Touch in their Apple Music PR blurb in November 2020. He said, “This Fall Apple is planning to release the next version of iPod Touch.” The iPod Touch that is currently available in the market has a 4-inch display. This is similar to the 2020 version of the iPhone SE as far as designs are concerned. The report mentions that the screen size might increase to 5.4-inches for the new iPod Touch.

Although there aren’t any confirmed sources from which the specifications can be known, it looks like that the Apple A14 Bionic chip will be used to power these devices.
