The multibillion-dollar company, LG, is coming up with a new dual screen smartphone. The South Korean company recently sent out invites to its virtual event on the 28th of October. People are speculating for LG to release the “wing” phone during the same event. The event is scheduled to start at 11:30am and to go on till 12:30pm on 28th October.
The Wing smartphone is supposed to be LG’s flagship phone for the year. It comes equipped with a primary touchscreen which swivels sideways to reveal another smaller screen, underneath.
The Wing is similar in some ways to dual screen smartphones. It has a 6.8-inch OLED main screen, just like most dual screen smartphones. The catch here is that the entire front screen rotates clockwise 90-degrees, unleashing a 3.9-inch square-shaped secondary screen.
The LG Wing is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor and is also 5G-enabled. It has three cameras on the back: a 64MP main shooter, a 13MP ultra-wide, and a 12MP ultrawide-angle lens put in specially for videography. There’s a 32MP pop-up selfie camera on the front.
The Wing is priced at $1000 in the U.S. The smartphone is clearly first of its kind and there does not seem to be a new competition in the market any time soon.
