Its still early days to predict anything about the OnePlus 8, but this upcoming smartphone has now made it to the Geekbench list. We can see the expected specifications and features for the OnePlus 8 mentioned in the list although the company have themselves not made any official announcements so far.
The listing shows that the device is codenamed ‘Kona’ and will come with 12GB of RAM and run on Android 10. The OnePlus 8 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and will feature 6.65-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz super smooth display. It will support 50W fast charging compared to the 30W fast charging in OnePlus 7 series. The device could also feature triple-camera setup with a punch-hole cut front camera.
The company will launch OnePlus 8 in three models – OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and the OnePlus 8 Lite. It would have been great if the company came up with the lite version of OnePlus 7 considering the rising popularity of the brand but we could still see that happening with the OnePlus 8 lite targeted towards the budget oriented consumers.
Speaking about the display, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said that they have completed the research and development of 120Hz screen and said that its a new breakthrough after adding 90Hz fluid screen to lead the industry. As per the reports, the 120 Hz display will be almost super silky smooth and users will be able to play games at higher refresh rates easily and the company will also be including 240 Hz response rate for faster reaction to a screen tap or button press.
