Xiaomi has recently unveiled the Redmi K20 series for Indian masses in the month of June and is now widely available for purchase. Users currently owning the handset and using Netflix on it did not have the HDR support initially. However, now the company made has made this feature available for all users of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.
Netflix is a popular streaming platform which is used by millions of people around the world and the HDR support brings an incredible streaming quality in terms of both audio and video. There is a definitely a huge difference when you watch a Netflix video in HDR on a smartphone that supports it similar to OnePlus phones.
Looks like Xiaomi has also followed on the competing smartphone brands and felt the need for HDR support on Netflix. Moreover, one thing to be noted is that HDR is only available on the higher priced subscription plans of Netflix and cannot be viewed on a basic subscription even if you are using a K20 device.
The Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro can now be purchased online from Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. These handsets operate on Snapdragon 855 processor which is considered to be really fast for all your apps and heavy games and also supports fast charging so that you have enough power to last through the day.
The support for HDR is being released with the latest update and should be available to all users in the next few days. The update will also cover some of the other big fixes and improvements and is sized around 475MB.
