Good news for Xiaomi fans in India as the company will be launching its Redmi K20 Series soon. The K20 and K20 Pro are expected to hit the shelves in the country by mid-July, as the official date has not yet been announced by the company.
The launch of the Redmi K20 series will result in sales cannibalization wherein the Poco F1 market share would be reduced as a result. Xiaomi had branded its Poco F1 as one of the best smartphones during its launch however many users were not happy as this phone did not come with an AMOLED display among a few other shortcomings.
With the Redmi K20 series, there is a chance that Xiaomi has learned from its mistakes and implemented the best features in this new smartphone lineup. The features do look solid and the phone is powered by 4000mAh battery which supports fast charging – up to 60% charge in under 30 minutes.
The Redmi K20 series comes with these following specifications: Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 for K20 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 for K20 Pro, 6.39-inch Full HD display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, no visible notch on the screen, 20 MP selfie pop-out camera and 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor coupled with 13 MP and 8 MP camera lens.
Looking at these specs, you may wonder that the K20 series would cost a bomb. But that’s not the case as Xiaomi had launched it in China, approximately in Indian currency, close to Rs. 20,000 for K20 and Rs. 21,000 for the K20 Pro. The affordable price makes it a smartphone to look forward to in the mid-range segment.
