Apple Releases OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 6 With A Few New Icons

Apple released OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 6 on Monday, just two weeks after preview 5 was released. It can be downloaded by registered developers through the Mac App Store.

Besides the regular bug fixes, performance enhancements and interface tweaks, other notable changes that come with OS X Yosemite Developer Preview 6 include:

  • New/redesign of icons for
    • System Preferences
    • Charging/power connected on Menu bar
    • FontBook, Script Editor, and Image Capture App.
    • Mail Preferences inside Mail App
    • Safari Preferences
  • Addition of few new wallpapers
  • Do not disturb has been added again in Notification Centre
  • HUD designs for Volume and Brightness control tweaked
  • Translucent background for Dashboard
  • On startup information page about New Diagnostics and Usage
  • Dictation update for English
  • Notification banners have slightly smaller text
  • iOS like message when Safari cannot load page
