Watching YouTube videos on-the-go is fun. While some may call YouTube as “amateur hour”, we believe that YouTube is the best platform for videos and higher quality videos also play well on large screen devices such as your TV.
Today, Google has announced a new App for Android devices dubbed “YouTube Remote” that allows you to control YouTube on your TV or large screen device from your Android device. To get started, you’d need to log in to your Google account from your mobile and then log in with the same account to YouTube Leanback on your Google TV to pair the two devices.
You can then fire up the YouTube Remote App on your Android device and use the gorgeous interface to control playback on your TV, search for videos, add videos to the queue and more. The App is available for free in the Android market and is currently in beta.
