YouTube Music has planned to launch the new personalization features which come alongside high-level filters. This will allow users to customize not only the homepage but also “My Mixes”. The App released a second section in the bottom bar in June this year to replace the video-focused ‘Hotlist’. In late 2018, they added playlists for Top 100 songs and music videos. YouTube Music was not very well received when it came out, with most users favoring Google’s old Music App – Google Play Music. YouTube Music has launched various new attributes as of late to pull in the volume of Play Music users. A little change to the Android application refreshes the status bar symbol to match the application’s logo. For a long time now, the YouTube Music logo in notifications and Android’s status bar has varied from the homescreen symbol: the YouTube play icon is encircled by a thick ring to inspire a CD as well as vinyl record.
