Every Apple Store has a dedicated sections for kids with iMacs that have got Apps (including games) loaded on them specifically for kids. This has been a very popular section and has helped Apple to sell more iMacs.
Now, it appears that as we slowly enter into the post-PC era, Apple has replaced the iMacs with iPads with all the special Apps pre-loaded on them for kids to play and have a good time. And in-turn sell more iPads. The iPad is definitely a more intuitive device than the iMac for kids, and this seems to be a good replacement. Read More
A neighboring company to Apple’s Grand Central Store in New York has experienced a 7% increase in sales since the Apple Store was opened there in Q4 2011. The co-owner of Michael Jordan’s Steak House says “the rise isn’t because Apple replaced another restaurant, Metrazur, in the terminal. The jump only happened after Apple opened, said Glazier, not in the several months that the space was being renovated as the store was built”. Read More

As you can see from the picture of the Beijing Apple Store, there are many people waiting in anticipation – which is normal for the release of a new Apple product. Target has confirmed that it will soon be hosing Apple Mini Stores across its retail stores all across the world. The retail giant will introduce 25 mini stores within its stores. Read More
Mercury News reports that Apple is experimenting with a new store type in Palo Alto that is a few meters apart from its store in 451 University Avenue. The new store will include skylight, trees and “inviting day-lit interior that is designed to dissolve the boundary between exterior and interior to connect the activity on the street and within the store,” Read More
Wow. Just follow this link, and you will notice a dynamically changing picture that compares the old Apple’s 5th Avenue Store glass cube with the new one. You can clearly compare the old version which included over 90 glass panes and the newer one which has a significantly reduced number of panes. It’s pretty amazing.

Apple’s flagship store in 5th Avenue, New York is undergoing a design change and will be open to the public again at 10 AM tomorrow with the new design in place. Apple said on the store’s official website -
We’ll be closed starting at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3 and will reopen at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 4.
