App of the Week : MobRSS
Jan 30th
Reading feeds is the best way to get content from the site without going through the jargon of pictures, ads and content. Feeds are successful due to the speed and simplicity they tend to offer.
This week’s app is all about reading feeds on your iPhone/iPod Touch. We were in the hunt for a feed reader which would just sync and download feeds at a time and the feeds would be available for future reading. We tested dozens of RSS Readers such as Feeds, RSS etc but the most catchy of all was Mobile RSS.

Mobile RSS is in our opinion the best Feed Reading application out on the App Store! When the app starts it asks the user for the username and password to the google account. After validating your email, the app gets all the latest feeds and stores it for future offline usage. Just a pull down of the page would let you refresh the content. You could even share a feed via email, facebook, readitlater, Twitter etc.
The only negative part was that we weren’t able to figure out the way to add a new subscription. Mobile RSS is hosted on Google Code. The app also works well with the accelerometer.
