AT&T have just announced that they have acquired T-Mobile for a whooping $39 billion. The carrier will spend over $39 billion to acquire T-Mobile, the only other carrier apart from AT&T that operates on the GSM band.

As the iPhone 4 is now available on both AT&T and Verizon, people are curious to know if they both perform in the same way or if they are slightly different from each other. According to research firm Ookla, it turns out that the AT&T iPhone 4 transfer rate is twice as fast at the one by Verizon.
The much awaited iPhone 4 on Verizon is finally here. At an event today, Verizon Wireless announced in partnership with Apple that they would be providing iPhone 4’s via their network. The iPhone 4 will be available in the United States beginning February 10 on both AT&T and Verizon Wireless networks.
