Apple Aims for Mac-Like iPad with iPadOS 16 Multitasking Changes

According to a new report by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, tech giant Apple has been planning to make the iPad behave more like a laptop than a smartphone. The Cupertino company intends to implement certain changes in iPadOS 16 to make that a reality, according to the report. Gurman states that this revamped iPad experience is going to be one of the biggest upgrades to be announced at WWDC 2022.

Apple Has a Spectacularly Strong March Quarter

Cupertino-based company Apple has announced the financial results for the fiscal 2022 second quarter that ended on 26th March 2022. At $97.3 billion, the tech giant posted record revenue for the March quarter. This is a nine percent year-over-year growth in the metric. Apple’s quarterly earnings per diluted share were declared at $1.52. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, said in a release that Apple had set an all-time revenue record for Services. Additionally, Apple set the March quarter revenue records for iPhone, Mac, and the category of Wearables, Home, and Accessories.

Shortly after the release of iOS 15.4.1, tech giant Apple seeded macOS Monterey 12.3.1. With this update, the Cupertino company brings several bug fixes that macOS 12.3 had introduced. The fixes include external display and game controller bugs. Following major updates, Apple often releases minor updates. This is in order to patch fresh bugs and exploits brought by the update. Other than the aforementioned issues, macOS 12.3.1 also fixes two security vulnerabilities.

According to latest reports, Cupertino based tech company Apple will not be changing the design for their upcoming 2023 Mac Mini. Based on the latest reports by MacRumours, this new next-generation device will retain the same form as the current model. In its current state, the device flaunts an aluminium unibody design. The tech giant has used this same form for all their new Mac mini devices launched since 2010. Revered Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo disclosed information about the launch of the device earlier this week . He stated that the launch of the new Mac mini device will not be until 2023.

WhatsApp For Mac Set To Introduce A New Way Of Reacting To Messages

It was reported by 9to5Mac last week that WhatsApp’s Mac interface is finally preparing to offer a new Reactions feature similar to iMessage. It now appears that the instant messaging company has been adding various new ways to utilise this feature in an upcoming update. Tech giant Apple awards Ryan Pickren, a cyber security student, a bounty of $100,500. Pickren demonstrated to Apple how a Mac webcam vulnerability allows him to gain unauthorized access to their webcams. This, in turn, leaves devices potentially fully open to hackers. In a blog post, Pickren stated that this is achieved by exploiting a series of issues with iCloud Sharing and Safari 15.“The bug gives the attacker full access to every website ever visited by the victim. That means in addition to turning on your camera, my bug can also hack your iCloud, PayPal, Facebook, Gmail, etc. accounts too,” he writes.
