Apple has finally loosened its firm grip on the App Store and now all kinds of Apps are available for iOS devices. iPad is certainly the best way to browse the web and with so many amazing browsers with different functionalities available, it is hard to make the right choice.
Barnes & Noble has finally launched Nook for iPhone. The App lets you access and read over 1 million books directly from your iPhone. The App is well designed and includes support for multitasking and the retina display. The text just feels crisp on the iPhone 4 and with this new App, iPhone users could get access to a million books.
There have been a lot of rumors about this event, but if the truth be told, some of the rumors just feel so fake. In a statement earlier this year, Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs said that Apple would announce a lot of great products later this year. The time has come and if rumors are to be believed, the next Apple event could happen sometime in late September or maybe this month.
Apple is pushing out updates for iPhones, iPod touches and iPads. The update does not add any new feature, but fixes the known PDF exploit and removes your jailbreak.
Most of you who use Gmail in iOS 4 would have noticed that whenever you delete a mail from your Gmail account in iOS 4, the message says Archive and not Delete. Archiving is a feature used by Gmail. Whenever you delete a mail from your Gmail account, it archives it – sends it to your All Mail folder instead of deleting it which makes your inbox less cluttered and the archived mail remains in your mail for six years.
Apple renamed iPhone OS to iOS. Not a dynamic name, but goes well with their products. iOS 4, the latest version of the Operating System brings in much needed features such as multitasking, folders, iAds and iBooks to the iPhone.
