According to a report from 9to5Google, Google Pixel 6 will be one of the first devices to have Google’s “GS101” Whitechapel Chipset. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google has said something about “some deeper investments in hardware” and terrific roadmap” in 2021 and this announcement further confirms that. Whitechapel is like Google’s effort to manufacture their own SoCs. They can further use this in Pixel phones and Chromebooks. This will lead to Google compete better with Apple and Samsung.
