A new Social Networking App dubbed Friendly – Facebook Browser popped up on the New and Noteworthy App list on the App Store. Friendly is a Facebook client for the iPad and is the best way to interact with Facebook on iPad. The App is available for download from the App Store for $4.99 and is totally worth the money.
The insanely famous Bit-torrent client, uTorrent has now added a web interface that lets you access your torrent data from anywhere in the world. You just need an internet connection along with a web browser to manage your torrents. The web interface is luckily not developed in Flash which makes it accessible from any iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or Android device.
Till date, you could only upload videos on YouTube which were worth 10 minutes. This time limit was good for reviews and news of some sort, but really not enough. Today, YouTube has announced that the video time limit has been increased to 15 minutes. Not a huge increase, but a necessary update.
Google announced Google TV at Google I/O. They plan to bring the web to your TV along with hi-def YouTube videos. Google has partnered with Logitech and Sony to manufacture the device. According to Peter Sherman, Google is really excited about the new product and thinks that watching YouTube videos on your TV would be cool.
Apple recently put up the Safari Extensions Gallery which lets you choose from over a hundred extensions and enhance your experience with Safari. The extensions feel smooth on the browser and though Apple isn’t the first one to come up with the idea of extensions, it surely has done a great job.
Remember that YouTube guy who wrote a song about iPhone 4 and was featured by Apple in their keynotes? He wrote a song about Steve Jobs a few weeks back. The song is dubbed, “The Steve Jobs Song” and the singer praises the CEO of Apple and describes him.
Apple today announced a new iMac with a better display, better hardware and a better core architecture. The new iMac comes with a whole new product – Magic Trackpad. The Magic Trackpad is a huge Trackpad for desktop users. It is the same Trackpad that Apple uses in MacBooks but is larger in size. The Trackpad would give iMac users a chance to experience the Trackpad which ships along with Apple notebooks.
Rejoice Jailbreakers! The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has announced that it is now legal to jailbreak your iDevices and unlock your iPhones. Nobody really cared about these issues before jailbreaking, but for those who actually were worried about the legal issues, now you can go ahead without fear.
