Bill Gates and his Dad were interviewed by Larry King on Larry King Live. Speaking about computers and technology, Apple had to be mentioned. Larry asked Bill Gates about Steve Jobs. He said “Steve’s Brilliant, done very good work. We enjoyed working together and sparring with each other. We have different strengths but we love the industry.”

Tired of the plain white background that your favorite search engine bears? Well, it seems even Google is. They are trying out a new feature where you could set your own pictures as Google’s background.
It makes your search experience richer, personal and your own. Google is rolling out this new feature to users in the US and other countries internationally should expect this feature soon. You should see a link in the lower left corner of the screen using which you could upload pictures from your computer, choose from your Picasa Web Albums or choose from the large selection of pictures available in the Picasa Public Library.
Google will even provide you with an option to switch between the classic view and this new view. Customizing is not completely new to Google; iGoogle tries to do a somewhat similar thing but has loads of additional items which make it slower.
When Digg launched its App for the iPhone, it gathered a lot of attention and within just days of its launch it was the top free app for the iPhone on the App Store. Digg did a good job with the app and using it is fun. We did a complete review of the App as soon as it was launched and pointed out some of the setbacks of the App.

Google recently said that they would be removing Microsoft’s Windows Operating System from their computers. Employees would be allowed to run Windows on their personal computers but not on their main workstations. They instead plan to shift to Mac‘s or will install Linux on these machines.
Google’s Chrome OS, an Operating System, unique of its kind is making its debut this fall. The OS is very light and is designed for netbooks and low powered laptops. It is a cloud-based operating system with only a browser; Apps would be browser based and could be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store.
