Meet Google’s Sister – Goojje!

A new search engine was launched in China which claimed of being Google’s Sister!
The Search engine is known as Goojje and looks exactly like Google. Jie Jie (Goojje) is mandarin for sister, while “ge ge” (Google) means big brother.
The site even seems to be Open Source!

Apple iPad – Just another large iPod

Apple in an event yesterday released a new product which filled the gap between the iPhone and the MacBook pro. This new device is officially known as the iPad.

The iPad sports a 9.7 inch multitouch screen, with normal iPod features such as music, video , photos and apps from the app store. The iPad did not seem to have dazzled us.
It felt as just a large iPod.

The only two new functionalities observed was the implementation of iWork on the iPad and a new app , iBooks

iBooks is a book reader application for the iPad. There is even an online book store by Apple which will be integrated with the iTunes store.

Apple called the product a magical device . The iPad seems to be a promising kindle killer .
It lacked a lot of features again , no cameras were builtin, no multitasking support, only 64GB versions , no flash support yet !

The iPad runs on iPhone OS 3.2 and the keyboard too didn’t look that responsive . The idea of the iPad as a gaming console was even demolished by Apple! In short, the iPad did not have anything which made us say . ” Hell WoW, I am going to get this thing now!”

The hardware includes Apples own A4 chip along with wifi and 3G, accelerometer and compass.

iBooks – Kindle Killer!

Apple released ibooks which is a great way to read and buy books. The app is featured for the iPad.

The format of the books being ePub.

You can flip the page by tapping anywhere on the right, change the size, or flip back by tapping on the left. Or, drag the page over manually using touch.

You could even select the font of the book by just tapping the screen!

Kodak sues Apple

Kodak, a company that manufactures digital cameras and other photography related products, filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission, alleging the Apple iPhone.

Kodak also filed lawsuits against Apple in the U.S. District Court in Rochester, claiming an infringement of patents related to digital cameras and certain computer processes. It is asking for unspecified monetary damages and a court order to end the disputed practices.


Apple’s announcement for the January 27, 2010 mega event has caught the fancy of the entire world. Guesses are running wild and expectations are being poured in.

Goebbels once said that if you repeat a lie often enough, people will think it is the truth.

Unlike the “run-of-the-mill”, has faith in the vision of Apple and its numero uno Steve Jobs. We will not guess what is inside the new Apple product and let the wild horses loose but we know for sure that we will have a marvel from a great organization like Apple.
