The Apple TV App Store has finally opened up to third-party Apps and we are close to 1,000 Apps on the store now. However, when the Apple TV App launched last week there was a huge discovery issue, Apple included a list of featured Apps but the users could not browse through categories or Top Charts. It was easily assumed that Apple didn’t have enough data to build out categories and rankings but, things have changed now. This morning, users of the new Apple TV noticed a section in the device’s App Store. New Beta Update For Apple TV Brings iOS-Like User Interface

User interface of Apple TV has been revamped and now looks much like an iOS 7 interface. The new beta update brings a new look and feel to the Apple TV’s Home Screen. All the icons now carry a flat and matt look as opposed to the previous gloss effect. The Settings icon has been changed and now looks the same as the iOS Settings icon with two nested gears. Apple TV Beta Update Features iCloud Family Sharing

Apple TV’s latest beta software available for developers features iCloud Family Sharing. At WWDC keynote Apple executives spoke about iCloud Family Sharing feature. Though the feature is not currently functional, as per WWDC communication it allows family members sharing same credit card to access iTunes, App Store and iBooks purchases. It also allows creating reminders and calendars for the entire family.  iCloud Family Sharing will be launched as part of iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite update which is expected this September. The latest beta update for Apple TV also brings support for the updated iCloud photos feature. It is expected to launch for users this September.
