Letter To Steve From BRICs

Hi Steve, how does it feel like being God with the iPad magic wand in your hand. You waved the magic wand and transformed the lives of so many of us. The excitement is palpable in all of us but you have divided the world between “have” and “have-nots”.

We know that you are trying hard. But really not hard enough for all of us. The BRIC nations adore you as much as the US and it would have been really cool if the iPad could have been released in these countries along with the rest of the world.

God treats all its children as equals. It is now your turn. Apple being a world class company should reach out to the entire world in one go.

Steve Jobs Fires Back at Adobe

In a 1700 word letter, Steve Jobs explains to Apple’s customers and critics why Apple does not include Adobe’s Flash on their devices. According to him, there are many technical aspects which lead to this conclusion.

Jobs handles the situation very carefully and firstly elaborates on how Apple and Adobe were close friends and later they both grew up and had their own ways. Gradually, he gets to the end and stabs Adobe. Ouch! From heartbreaking messages sent from his iPad, Steve is in to complete letters.

He explains Apple does not include Flash because, Flash is closed, unreliable, insecure, decreases performance and battery life, bad for touch and flash has major technical drawbacks and even because Adobe is painstakingly slow to adapt to Apple’s Mac Platform.

Today, Jobs once again proved the fact true, that though Apple take on their competitors after some time, but when they do, they are the best at it! At the end of the staggering 1700 words article, Steve, the grand master, takes Adobe straight to the ground by saying -” Perhaps Adobe should focus more on creating great HTML5 tools for the future, and less on criticizing Apple for leaving the past behind.

UPDATE – Reportedly, Adobe’s CEO Shantanu Narayen came out yesterday to defend its Flash software and the developers who build it. He said that Jobs point of view was completely different and instead he should leave it to the consumers to decide what is best for them.
