Along with the iPhone 13 series and iPad Mini, Apple also launched the new Apple Watch Series 7 at its event yesterday. The Apple Watch Series 7 GPS-only starts at $399 (approximately Rs.29,400) in the US. The Apple Watch Series 7 GPS+Cellular model is priced at $499 (approximately Rs. 36,800). It will come in five brand new aluminum case color options that include Midnight, Starlight, green, a New Blue, and Red.
In the US, users can expect the Apple Watch Series 7 later this fall. However, it isn’t known when it will be available in India. Also, the watch will come in three stainless steel models and a titanium variant.
The bezels in this watch model have been made 1.7mm thinner i.e. 40% smaller than its predecessor. Due to this, the display for the Apple Watch 7 has increased by 20%. It comes in 41 mm and 45 mm case options.
The model still has the Retina display like always. Apple has also said that that the Apple Watch Series 7 provides up to 70% brighter results indoor compared to the previous model. Also, it is being said that the bigger display will give more space for the text and the WatchOS will leverage it to get bigger buttons.
Another unique feature of this watch model is that it brings blood saturation (SpO2) tracking and heart rate tracking using an electrical heart rate sensor. Also, the Watch will be able to detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and also give us an ECG report.
Coming to the battery life, the Apple Watch Series 7 gives us 18 hours of battery life. It charges through a Type-C USB port. This gives it a 33% faster-charging speed than the previous models. Also, Apple claims the watch to have crack-resistant durable glass. Not just this, an IP6X dust-protection rating is also added to the WR50 water resistance
