We had already reported that the Google Pixel 6 will be Google’s launch for this year. Previously it was known for some time that the larger of the two models will be called the Google Pixel 6 Pro as opposed to the usual ‘XL’ naming system offered by Google. Now, some new papers uploaded by Google for new Game Mode APIs show that the phone might be called the Pixel 6 XL. The Google Pixel 6 XL will be the first Google smartphone to have a triple rear camera setup. A recent report has come out which states that the phone might have a 5X zoom “ultra tele” camera.
On Wednesday, Google launched the third beta of Android 12 to the Pixel phones. The new beta comes with numerous interesting features but the one that turned out to be important was its new Google Camera app. The Google Camera app got its version 8.3.252. People from XDA Developers found the reference to the 5X zoo “ultra tele” camera from this APK. XDA Developers found a new line in the code for the Camera app’s Zoom UI. The code line mentions a new 5X zoom option to be shown in the viewfinder. The report also states that after a little more investigation they found references to a new “ultra-tele” zoom within the Google Camera app.
Last week only various rumored specifications had come up about the Google Pixel 6 series. These we hinted at by famous tipster Jon Prosser. Before that also a lot of speculations had been made about the design of the Pixel 6 series.
