Apple iPhone 14 To Get 120 Hz ProMotion Display

As per the latest reports that are coming up Apple might be offering its ProMotion display technology to all its models of the 2022 lineup. This technology will give a higher 120 Hz refresh rate. It has also come that Apple will be including a 120 Hz refresh rate to the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max from this year’s lineup.

The other two models i.e. the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini will not be having the promotion technology as per sources. AppleInsider also reported that for the iPhone 13 lineup, Apple is bringing in two separate suppliers for its display.

Apple will be using panels produced by Samsung for the LTPO displays on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The production of the same began in May. The other two models will feature LTPS displays that will be provided by LG.

The 2022 iPhone is tentatively called the ‘iPhone 14’. According to the report, the iPhone 14 lineup will include two 6.1-inch and two 6.7-inch models.

Also, The Elec reported about some of Apple’s display suppliers for next year. The report said that LG might be converting its production lines so that it can supply Apple with displays having a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Prominent analyst Ming-chi Kuo also said that the 2022 iPhone models won’t be having a notch but will be featuring a ‘punch-hole display design’ much like the high-end Samsung Galaxy phones.

He also said that this new design will probably be seen in the high-end models so the low-end models might just stick to the basic notch design.
