Google To Have Their First Virtual-Only Google I/O On May 18

After a lot of speculations, Google has announced that they will be hosting their annual developer conference known as the ‘Google I/O 2021’ in May. The announcement was done in a very unique way. There were several puzzles and their results of the puzzles revealed the date. So one had to solve them to know the date.

The dates were not just directly written on the Google Events page but as mentioned one needed to solve the puzzles to know the date. However, 9to5Google solved the puzzles and eased everyone’s task, and revealed that the event was scheduled between May 18 and 20.

Google I/O 2021 will be hosted virtually this year just like the other events. The company had canceled last year’s event owing to the pandemic and this year it will be the first virtual Google I/O that will be held

Google is likely to give some upcoming features of Android 12 and the company might also be revealing its new product in the hardware field which is Pixel 5a.

More details can be expected as we get closer to the event.

A leaked document has however said about the details of the Android 12.

It has been said that there will be an opaque beige-colored background in place of the transparent notification shade. The color change will be per the theme. The conversation widget will however remain the same, like it was, separated from the rest of the notifications. The corners will remain rounded but more prominent. Instead of six, there will be four quick setting toggles and the icons will be increased in size.
