According to a report by Patently, Apple is trying to replace the mouse by introducing a finger input device that will allow gesture control for Mac’s display. Work is going on and the device is reported to understand finger gestures like pinching, pulling, rotating, swiping, and tapping.
The latest reports tell us that the device right now is in a ring shape. This can be worn on a user’s fingers. The report further added that there will possibly be sensors in the ring-like device and in that way it will detect the movement of the finger along with taking inputs from the adjacent fingers.
Apple notes that the gesture controlling device will have a better interface than the mouse and other input accessories that are currently available.
The company has decided to make the device compatible with MacBook, iPhone, iPad, television, smartglasses, vehicle, and other devices in the future.
