UPDATE: Netflix has been eliminated from the list.

The Google Play Movies & TV app that this new platform replaces had a much alike feature to Google TV by searching for content on several kinds of services, but it was not used as much. By integrating with your account-wide Google watchlist and being placed directly on your TV, Google TV has a greater chance of supporting this specific function.
Google TV is available on your TV first on the new Chromecast and is being set in motion for Android smartphones recently.
