“Ruby” For OnePlus 8 And 8 Pro Launched By Paranoid Android Now Available

An announcement was made by the team responsible for Paranoid Android ROM that they are thrilled to release “Ruby” based on Android 11, with alpha builds available for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro.

The Android 11 “Ruby” ROM is now available for any intrepid OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro owners that desire additional control over their regular smartphone experience, as confirmed by the official Paranoid Android Twitter account.

Simply a few months after the official launch — the efficiency to look at bigger custom ROM developers to join as soon as they are able to and get working builds out for devices on high demand like the OnePlus 8 series.

The Alpha build includes the November 2020 security patch even though it was in development for quite a while.

Device-specific issues
Initial FOD related bugs.
Auto brightness reversed.
Dimensions are not perfect.

It is confirmed by the team that the above mentioned issues can occur on OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro. Being an Alpha build, it is natural to have some kind of complications.

It is not known yet if more Paranoid Android builds will be seen or not based upon Android 11’s availability for other OnePlus devices or just totally other hardware. Presently, Paranoid Android builds based upon Android 11 are not yet having the compatibility with the OnePlus 8T, and is unfortunately only restricted to the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro for now, this an important fact to be known.
