Have you given something to the Apple Store’s repair center? Apple has confirmed via a posting on its website that you have to wait till the store reopens to pick it up. Apple has shut all its retail outlets outside of China on March 14th, and it did grant customers a 2 day period to pick up their devices. Those who could not pick it up for some reason will now have to wait till the stores reopen.
“We made every possible attempt to get people’s products back to them,” a company spokesperson said on AppleInsider. “There certainly are people that, for whatever reason, did not pick up their products before we closed and their products are at our stores.”
Apple was planning to reopen stores on March 27th, but looking at the ongoing crisis in the US, it is unclear as to when Apple plans to reopen its stores. Apple will be contacting owners directly and informing them about their device pickup status. It is not clear as of now if Apple will direct mail the device back to the owner. The message on the website does not specify the details.
