Google’s Pixel 4 series was the talk of the town earlier this year but it failed to make much of an impression among the fans after its launch in October. Maybe that will change with the next line of Pixel devices that will be unveiled in 2020 as new leak shows the Pixel 4a in its full glory.
The renders for the Pixel 4a have been released by @OnLeaks, famous for revealing many device leaks in the past that turned out to be genuine. In terms of the overall design, the Pixel 4a look similar to Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL but it comes with only a single camera sensor compared to the dual-camera sensors in Pixel 4 series.
The rectangular housing on the rear for the camera is very much noticeable in the renders and it is very surprising as to why Google went back to a solo camera. It could be because its a budget device and the company wanted to reduce the production costs by removing the telephoto lens that you can see in Pixel 4 series.
But we are still hopeful that Google will include the same primary camera sensor and Google Camera App features from Pixel 4 so that the device can be used for decent level of photography if not the best.
The render also appears to show a punch-hole camera at the front on the Pixel 4a, rear finger-print sensor, bottom facing speakers, headphone jack and USB-C port for charging. The device is expected to launch along with its XL model at the Google I/0 event in 2020.
