Apple had released its new Apple Arcade gaming service in September this year in India alongside the launch of iOS 13 and watchOS 6 for supported devices. The company had offered the Rs.99 per month plan during the launch and has now introduced a annual plan for just Rs.999.
It has only been three months of Apple Arcade and it seems like the company has seen a steady rise in the number of Indian users who are playing games on this service which could be the reason for the addition of this new yearly plan. Its basically to attract more new users to this gaming service that is not only available for cheap but also includes several original titles that are not available on the App Store or Google Play Store.
The annual plan saves an amount of RS.189 in comparison to the monthly plan when opted for a year which comes to Rs 1,188 against Rs.999. It could actually work in favor of the Indian users as they can enjoy seamless gaming experience for a year without having to worry about paying monthly fees for it and also save money at the same time.
Apple had also introduced similar yearly plans for Apple Arcade in other parts of the world – $50 in US, £50 in UK, 50 € in European union. Thus, for American users, the yearly cost reduces from $60 to $50 with the yearly plan. Apple offers one month free trial for new users after which they can opt for monthly or a yearly plan as per their choice.
