Amazon Echo Devices Can Now Stream Apple And Spotify Podcasts

People who like listening to podcasts on wireless speakers are in for luck as you can now play Apple and Spotify podcasts directly from the Amazon Echo device. You just have to ask Alexa to play any podcast and it will respond instantly. This podcast support adds close to 8 lakh podcasts from the Apple library and several thousands of podcasts from Spotify.

Apple podcasts were earlier limited to their HomePod speaker. This means that even though you were a Apple podcast user, you could not stream it on your Amazon Echo device. This same situation applies for Spotify and as a result, the support for podcasts makes the Echo devices more dynamic with a wide array of content that can played as per your mood.

We recently saw Apple Music and Apple TV support being added on Amazon Fire TV devices owing to the partnership between these two companies. Amazon had also expanded the list of Apple products available on the site in order to improve the customer experience and help them search for every type of Apple product that includes the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and others.

User will also be able to resume any of the podcast by simply asking Alexa to play that podcast. For example if you say ‘Alexa, resume Joe Rogan show’, the playback will start instantly via the account connected to your Apple ID. Users can also forward or reverse in the podcast by voice commands.

Amazon says that the support for Apple and Spotify podcasts is currently available only in the United States.
