Google will be soon awarding Play Points on the Play Store for the Android users in the United States. Play Points was earlier made available in South Korea and Japan where you can earn points for movie, television show, book, audiobook, and music purchases inside the Play Store.
You can also earn some points for some of the free Apps and there is also a Weekly Prize reward that will depend on the level you are in. There are a total of four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. You start with 1 point for the first dollar that you spend and then for the successive purchases, your points increase progressively in the range of 1.1,1.2 and so forth.
Play Store will also hold a Special Event from time to time so that you will earn more points for each dollar that you spend and keep collecting more points. There is nothing more to Play Points apart from this, just that you can choose to redeem it for Play Store credit or spend it on in-game items or some special items being provided exclusively by the App developer.
Google has given a option for donations as well if you choose to spend the Play Points for a good causes like World Food Program USA, Doctors Without Borders USA and Save the Children. Play Points can be accessed easily under the navigation drawer of Play Store and will be rolling out to all the users in the United States before the end of this week.
