Google has finally released the Nest Mini smart speaker in India after it was launched alongside the Pixel 4 smartphone back in October. The speaker is priced at just Rs 4,499 for the Indian consumers and it can play songs from music streaming services like Spotify, Gaana, YouTube Music, Wynk Music among others.
This smart speaker basically works with the help of Google Assistant similar to how Alexa runs the show in Amazon smart speakers. You simply have to give commands to play the tracks and you can also ask the Assistant if you any type of information on weather, news, sports, etc.
Nest mini is actually an upgraded version of Google Home Mini speakers that comes with the same rounded edge design. The best thing is that this speakers also supports wall-mounting and a hook has also been added this time around by the company for better mounting.
The device also comes with a new cable and a new power connector port for easy functionality. Speaking of the audio quality, Google claims that the speaker makes use of a machine learning chip to boost the overall bass and there’s also a proprietary software for improving the sound.
The new Nest mini also supports the upgraded version of Google Assistant, which the company says to be much faster and perfect with the results. There is a slider button on the device which can be used to turn on/off the microphone as required. The Nest Home Mini is available for purchase in these two colors – Charcoal and Chalk.
