Amazon Music Is Now Available Without The Prime Membership

Great news for all Amazon Music listeners as from now on you won’t have to subscribe to the Prime membership to avail all this service. However, this comes with its own restrictions in the form of advertisements. If the ads don’t bother you, then you can listen to your favorite songs on Amazon Music for free.

This offer will be of more advantage to the new users who may not be having the Prime subscription or those who have not paid for Amazon Music Unlimited which costs $9.99 monthly. Spotify also runs a free ad-supported model and has over 140 millions using it which means that Amazon is going to have a tough time reaching those numbers but it should eventually get there considering that the service is free to use for everyone.

In their blog post, Amazon said that from today, all the Amazon Music customers who do not yet have a Prime membership or a subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited can now listen to an ad-supported selection of top playlists and thousands of stations for free on their favorite devices. This was prreviously only available to customers on Echo devices and now it will expand its access to customers using the Amazon Music app on iOS, Android, and FireTV. Apart from this, the customers can also listen to this music on the Web and the customers in the US, UK and Germany will be able to enjoy more music with no subscription or credit card required.

For customer who still prefer to have an ad-free listening experience, they will have to pay for the Prime subscription which comes with Amazon Prime, Prime Video and Amazon Music.
