AirPods Pro Is Receiving Higher Demand, Says Apple

Earlier this week sources indicated that the Apple AirPods Pro are exceeding sales expectation and Apple has now decided to double the production from 1 million to 2 million based on the information received from China based supply chain companies. The AirPods Pro was released as a successor to Apple’s AirPods 2.

Since the launch of the AirPods Pro, Apple has cause quite a disruption in the market due to its standout features in the wireless earphone category. It now sports flexible silicone ear tips, better noise cancellation, sweat and water resistance, transparency to pause noise cancellation so that you listen to your surroundings and 24 hours of listening time.

It is speculated that Apple is hosting a special shopping event from Black Friday through Cyber Monday. In this event, the company is giving away free gift cards along with device purchases. To quality for the gift card giveaways, the user is required to spend a minimum of $400-$500. The upcoming holiday season is expected to increase the demand for AirPods Pro and hence, Apple is taking this precautionary measure to sustain the demand.

9to5Mac reports that the reason for the higher demand is also because of the shipping delay which is around 4-5 weeks in several Apple retail stores. Even on one of the most leading online store Best Buy, the AirPods Pro has a wait-time of one week which means buyers will have to certainly wait before they lay their hands on the earbuds.

Apple’s manufacturing companies – Luxshare in China and GoerTek in Vietnam are in full swing to meet the increasing number of orders.
