A new feature is coming to WhatsApp which will let users send disappearing messages which will self-destruct automatically after a certain time frame. It will be applicable for the both sender and the receiver where they will be able to exchange messages that will disappear as per their selected time lapse.
The feature can be turned on/off anytime based on the user’s preference. The info regarding this messages disappearing feature came first form WABetaInfo. They said that he company is currently working on this feature in the WhatsApp beta version 2.19.275 along with a set of other new features which could become official in the coming months.
This means that the feature is currently only in development and not available for public use even though it is available in the beta version of the App. Only after the company develops the feature completely, it will be let out for testing among a few members in the beta community. With this, the company will gain some kind of feedback for the feature especially from the developers community. Eventually, if there any bugs, it will be resolved by the company right in time before the official release on the stable version of the App.
Telegram also has the disappearing messages feature, hence we can expect it to be very similar on WhatsApp. So far, the testing is being conducted on the Android version of the App. This means that we will have to wait for any further info for the same feature on iOS. But we can expect it to be under development alongside Android.
