OnePlus launched their new flagship phones OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition in London today. During this announcement, OnePlus also confirmed that they are working with PUBG team to deliver a better experience for its users who play the game on their phones.
PUBG, the battle royale game, has gained immense popularity in the last two years and since the launch of this game on mobile last year, a lot of smartphone brands are looking to optimize their phones to run this game without any flaws. Seems like OnePlus is also going in the same direction and wants its PUBG enthusiasts to have the best possible gaming experience.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei did not reveal much about this new development but we think it could be something to do with the 90HZ display that was introduced on both OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro. Maybe an optimization for 90HZ display will make PUBG more smoother on these new devices which could actually be a great thing.
The OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro both run on the latest edition of Qualcomm’s flagship mobile platform Snapdragon 855+ which single handedly makes the phone 15 per cent more powerful when it comes to graphics. The high-end specs of these phones are actually good enough for gaming but the partnership could bring something even better for the masses.
Although OnePlus doesn’t specially have any intentions to become a gaming smartphone, the optimisation for PUBG will definitely help the brand with better sales and profits in the near future.
