Play Pass Service For Android, Similar To Apple Arcade, Will Launch Soon

Google announced on Twitter about the Google Play Pass service saying that the service is coming soon. Play Pass subscription will help Android users to download and play any games from the Play Store for a monthly fee. The company could launch this service alongside the Google Pixel 4 next month.

Apple launched it’s gaming oriented subscription Apple Arcade for $4.99 per month. Play Pass would be similar to this, but we don’t know the subscription cost yet. In the tweet, Google didn’t reveal much about the service but at least it gave an indication to people who are waiting eagerly for its launch.

This is because the users can get access to all the paid games for an entire month. This will surely work for many who would like to try certain games before purchasing them individually or maybe for those who would like to play as many games as possible with a single subscription.

Google started planning the Play Pass service back in 2018 and has been testing the same on Play Store since the last few months. Maybe the company is now ready to roll out this monthly based subscription to its users as Apple Arcade will also start running from September 19.

Android Police has earlier leaked a few screenshots for the Play Pass subscription where one the screenshots described the service as: Explore a curated catalog spanning puzzle games to premium music apps and everything in between. From action hits to puzzles and fitness trackers, with Google Play Pass you unlock access to hundreds of premium apps and games without ads, download fees or in-app purchases.
