Asus Launches ROG Phone 2 In India

Asus has launched the successor to its ROG gaming phone in India today. The Taiwanese electronic maker announced this new ROG Phone 2 at an event held in New Delhi today. What’s surprising is that this devicehas been launched at half the price of Asus ROG Phone 2.

The basic version of Asus ROG Phone 2 has a configuration of ‘8GB/128GB’ avaialble for a price of ₹37,999 while the 12GB/512GB variant is priced at ₹59,999. Comparing the basic version of ROG 2 with ROG 1, the latter was launched at a price of ₹69,999. So there is a huge gap in the launch price for both these phones and could be because the company wants to make it more accessible for the people who wish to purchase it.

ROG Phone 2 comes with a 6.59″ AMOLED screen and runs on Snapdragon 855 SoC. It comes with 120Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz modes which the users can select based on their use. The rear camera configuration is similar to Zenfone 6 – 48MP+13MP along with 24MP front camera for taking amazing selfies.

You can buy separate accessories for the phone namely – ROG Phone 30 W charger, Aeroactive Cooler II, Profession Dock, Lightening Armour Case, Twin View Dock II, Mobile Desktop Dock, ROG Kunai Gamepad controller.

ROG Phone 2 will be a Big Billion Day special product on Flipkart. The phone will go on sale on 30th September at 11 am and users will have the option of 6-month no-cost EMI option during the purchase. This phone is a great grab for gamers who can get hold of an excellent gaming smartphone under ₹40,000.
