Apple had launched the new 10.2″ iPad on September 10 at the company’s annual launch event in California. The company will now be shipping this new iPad from today, 25th of September, which is great news for all Apple fans out there.
The best part is that Apple will be selling the new iPad with iPadOS, its very own operating system unlike iOS which used to power the older versions of the iPad. The company was scheduled to release the new iPads in all the Apple retail stores from September 30 but now as we know, the device will be available sooner with the launch of the iPadOS.
Apple has launched two versions of the new 10.2″ iPad, one for students($299) and one for educators($399). Both these variants will be supporting the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard. Basically, the company has made the 7th generation iPads very convenient and durable for the users and has also sparked interest in people who earlier would prefer a MacBook or a Mac over an iPad.
The new iPad is powered by Apple’s A10 fusion chip with full day battery life capacity. You also get an advanced camera compared to the earlier iPad models. Apart from this, the company had made navigation easier for the users by including gestures for copying, pasting and a few other actions including multi-tasking abilities. For the very first time, iPad will also be featuring “desktop-class” Safari browser and a new home screen layout.
