Apple Arcade was announced by the company back in March as a subscription-based plan for accessing any kind of App (free or paid) on the App Store for iOS, Mac, and Apple TV users. 9to5Mac got to try this service beforehand with Apple’s early access program for Apple Arcade and they discovered that the pricing would be around $4.99 per month.
The employees at Apple are getting to try the early access program at a fee of just 49¢ per month. This includes a one-month free trial and the program will end when iOS 13 starts rolling out to the iPhone users. Seems like Apple is trying to gain feedback from its people before it rolls it out for testing to the public.
The service will initially be free for a month when it launches for the public and a monthly rate of $4.99 will be charged after the free trial. Also, the service will be available to everyone who’s in the Family Sharing account.
Based on the initial impressions of Apple Arcade, 9to5Mac said that the process starts with a welcome page that highlights some of the content available through the subscription. There’s a big button that allows the user to start a free 1-month trial of the service, which is also likely to be available to the general public when released.
The subscription rates for Apple Arcade has not been officially announced by Apple but we believe that it will be done at the September launch event alongside the 2019 iPhone models.
