Spotify can be comfortably one of the most popular streaming apps in the world right now. And the company has now announced a new Lite version of the App which aims at saving data and playing songs without interruptions in poor networks. Spotify Lite is now available for Android users in 36 countries and the existing users can switch to this lite App instantly.
The app size for Spotify Lite is less than 10MB and it will barely occupy any space on your smartphone. The lite App will stream each song with the ‘Basic’ quality, which the company claims will only consume 0.5MB per song. But the listener can switch the audio quality to the highest settings based on their preferences.
Speaking about the interface of the Lite App, there is not a huge difference when compared to the original Spotify App. It has the same usual interface where you can see the different playlists and choose the song that you want to play. But in terms of features, the lite App has some additional options to save data. You can set the data limits and select how much data you want the App to use before playing your favorite tracks.
Spotify Lite is great for those who are running the usual Spotify App in very less storage space. So it would be better to switch to the lighter version and run it smoothly on any Android phone.
