OnePlus has released new beta updates for OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T phones which brings fresh improvements and new additional features that are already available on OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones. This comes under OxygenOS Open Beta 35 release that has been pushed out specifically by the company for OnePlus 5 series.
One of the features that is now available on OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T is the Zen mode. Basically, this mode keeps you away from any kind of phone activity for 20 minutes. This means that you can’t do anything on your phone like sending messages, using Apps, check notifications and each of these will be inaccessible during this duration. The exception being that you can only make or receive calls in case of an emergency.
However, if a user happens to switch the Zen mode on and then realize that they want to send a text, that’s not possible. So users will have to be careful before they use the Zen mode to avoid any issues later on.
The second feature added in the open beta is the Fnatic mode which is basically for gaming. OnePlus has partnered with Fnatic to bring this dynamic gaming experience to OnePlus smartphones. This was first introduced in the OnePlus 7 series and this is now available for all OnePlus 5 series users.
Fnatic mode helps a mobile gamer to change how the processor performs while gaming and it utilizes the full power of the processor to increase the FPS and deliver mind-blowing results. You can read more about this feature on fnatic.com.
