Realme is planning to come out with quad camera setup in its new smartphone and it will also include a 64 MP camera. We have never seen a mobile that has a 64MP camera, the recent one being Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro that comes with a massive 48MP camera. But soon Realme could beat this with the new phone that would be coming by the end of this year.
Apparently, the new Realme smartphone will be the first from the company to offer a quad camera experience. It’s previous smartphones like the Realme X came with a 48MP primary sensor with a triple camera setup and a pop-up selfie camera. With these phones, the company has been competing with the likes of Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo in the mid-range smartphone segment bringing more feature packed phones at affordable rates.
Based on speculations, the new Realme phone will run on Snapdragon 730 chipset and the overall cost of the phone could be less than Rs. 20,000 in India. It’s great news as this processor is usually seen in premium phone brands that costs more than Rs. 30,000.
In the Indian market, people mostly go for a cheaper phone that’s loaded with features. This means that consumers are flocking to buy mid-range phones compared to the premium range phones. Maybe this is why Realme is trying to build a phone that not only serves this need but also attract more consumers to try the 64MP camera where they could easily go for something like a Xiaomi phone with a lower megapixel camera.
