Google Duo is becoming very popular across the globe and the company is extending the group video call feature on the App to a lot of countries. After the recent one being Indonesia, the feature will now be available in India, US and Canada. With the feature, user will be able to make individual group video call or add up to 4 people in a group video call. They will be able to create or edit any group for the video calls as they wish.
Google has been focusing on Duo’s Group video calls a lot lately maybe because of the fact that people tend to use group video calls more during the festive season similar to what it claimed during the launch of this feature in Indonesia, where people celebrate the festival of Ramadan. Apart from this, the number of users downloading and using this App has increased by big margins since the last year. A total of 1 billion users use this app at this very moment, so it is not hard to imagine why Google wants to give the best experience to its users.
This video calling service from Google also received a web version recently in the month of February. This made it even more convenient for people who use the app on a day-to-day basis for personal or business related use. For both Android and web Apps, the option for the group video calling is placed right under the search bar where you can create a new group and add/ remove people before placing the video call.
