It seems that Tim Cook was not joking around and making fun of Warren Buffet, when he recently said that Apple is developing an iPhone game for Buffet that will let the billionaire toss newspapers, at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual meeting conducted recently. The game is for real and Apple launched it today on the App Store.
Apple has titled the game “Warren Buffett’s Paper Wizard” where you are playing in first person and you need to toss the newspapers in order to earn Warren cash. The cash that you earn will be based on how well you toss the newspapers along the way. It also depends on your overall skills that helps you deliver more newspapers right on the target.
Warren Buffett’s Paper Wizard is probably Apple’s first game in the last 10 years. The company had launched the game Texas Hold’em on the App Store back in 2008, which is also the same year that the App Store was launched. We really wonder about why Apple won’t make its own games considering they will be an instant hit among the users who play modern games like PUBG and Fortnite and it could also help the company bring in more revenue. But, the reason for not being very proactive for iPhone games could be because Apple just does not want to gain the limelight for wrong reasons.
This paper tossing game is published under the name of “Wildlife Designs” on the App Store. But if you read the terms and conditions of the game, it is copyrighted and maintained by Apple itself.
