WhatsApp is planning to develop a standalone App for iPad according to new reports. The company has recently released a new update for iOS, which came with minor bug fixes and other improvements. The report was released by Wabetainfo who tested the beta version of the App on an iPad and shared the images for the same.
Currently, you won’t find WhatsApp on the App Store if you browse from your iPad. You will see something like “The App is not compatible” or you won’t see any results at all. So, you will have to wait until the company comes out with the official App for iPad soon. At the moment, the test version of the App displays every feature that’s available on iPhones and desktop Apps. Plus, there are also some features that apply specifically to the iPad like the “Split View” for easy navigation.
As per the screenshots, the app offers a split-screen user interface mostly, which one can see in the below the chat window and other screenshots. The report indicates that the iPad version of the WhatsApp will offer support for audio and video calls, WhatsApp Status and Groups. One will also be able to use it in the landscape mode and leverage WhatsApp Stickers.
WhatsApp also launched its Business App recently for iOS, which gives small business owners good set of tools to engage with the customers. The App is also available for the users of Android and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
